Jacka Bakery

Top choice in Plymouth

Quietly groovy, fantastically friendly and extremely good at baking things, Jacka is much loved by locals. It excels at immense croissants, cinnamon swirls and three type of sourdough loaves. The 'on toast' options are fabulous – the wild-mushroom, tarragon and fried-egg version is something very fine indeed.

Jacka's can also claim to be one of England's oldest working bakeries (four centuries and counting); it's even said to have provided the ship's biscuits for the Pilgrim Fathers aboard the Mayflower.
