Barbican Kitchen

Plymouth

Plymouth's chef brothers Chris and James Tanner have brightened up the Barbican with their relaxed-but-refined bistro at the Plymouth Gin Distillery. It's a quirky, fun place to dine – turquoise banquettes and pop-art pics of Yoda and Bruce Lee on the walls – and the food is fresh and contemporary.

The set menus are super value; the dinner menu (two/three courses £14.95/17.95) is served from 6pm to 7.30pm Monday to Thursday, and 5pm to 7pm Friday and Saturday.
