The Pond

For a decent pint and unimaginably good food, walk a few streets up from the busy North Laine shopping area to the Pond. Loved by locals and welcoming to visitors, this is a place to enjoy local ales from craft breweries and tremendous Taiwanese eats from Baby Bao (filled, fluffy buns), who have a permanent kitchen residency. Mondays are meat free.
