The approach to the Westgate

Westgate Shopping Centre

Oxford

Originally built in 1972 on the site of Oxford’s medieval West Gate, this enormous mall expanded in 2017. Like Alice it seems just to keep on growing, with around 100 big-name shops including a large John Lewis department store, plus indoor golf and a cinema. Several of the smart, contemporary chain restaurants on the top floor have outdoor roof-terrace seating.
