Bear Inn

Oxford

Oxford’s oldest pub – there’s been a pub here since 1242 – the creaky old Bear requires almost everyone to stoop while passing from room to room. An ever-expanding collection of ties, framed and fading behind glass, covers walls and ceilings alike. Affiliated with Fuller’s brewery, it usually offers interesting guest ales, plus basic pub grub. There's live jazz on Tuesday.
