Manchester

It cost £3 million to renovate the Pavilion at the Great Northern Warehouse and the result is, well, a bit gimmicky, but nevertheless this new bar is a fun place to come dressed to the nines. There’s a Scandi theme with log-cabin-effect walls, pelt sofa drapes and dimly lit antler-horn chandeliers. Throw in pretty people sipping cryogenically frozen cocktails and it's memorable.

Head left as you come in and pick up the telephone booth receiver to gain entry to the ‘gin nest’ mezzanine bar, where you can get a flight of frozen G&T shots for £7.50. The owner also plans to build a catwalk and theatre space in the basement.
