Beneath the Tyne Bridge's soaring steel girders, this chic hole-in-the-wall has a devoted following for cooked breakfasts (scrambled eggs with white truffle oil and toasted brioche, Craster kippers with lemon parsley) served until 11.30am on weekdays and all day on weekends. At lunch there are soups and spectacular sandwiches (eg hoisin confit duck wrap or Toulouse sausage with fried onions).
