Sage Gateshead

Newcastle-upon-Tyne

Norman Foster's magnificent chrome-and-glass horizontal bottle is a stunner in itself but, as the home of the Northern Sinfonia and Folkworks, also presents outstanding live music.

The landmark building opened in 2004. Its two auditoriums, Sage One and Sage Two, have a capacity of 1,640 and 600 respectively. Regular courses, classes, workshops and kids' activities take place here; there's a cafe and a brasserie.
