Built atop a rocky bluff in 1550, this tiny, storybook castle was extended and converted by Sir Edwin Lutyens from 1902 to 1910 for Mr Edward Hudson, the owner of Country Life magazine – you can imagine some of the glamorous parties to have graced its alluring rooms. It's half a mile east of the village. Opening times can vary due to tide times.
