Trevalsa Court

South Cornwall

This hillside hotel up above Mevagissey's port is the pick of the places to stay in town. It's in a stone manorhouse, and surrounded by neatly trimmed gardens. Rooms feel quaint, in creams, stripes and pastels, but the cheaper ones are small, so aim for a 'Superior' sea-view double at least. The restaurant is decent, especially for seafood and game.
