Gymkhana

Top choice in The West End

The rather sombre setting at this serious Indian fine-dining establishment is intended to invoke the 'good old days' of the British Raj – lazily whirling fans in oak ceilings, period cricket photos and hunting trophies – but the food is anything but dull. Seven-course tasting meat/vegetarian menus are offered (£85/80), and the bar, reminiscent of a 17th-century East India punch-house, opens until 1am.
