Purl

The West End

Purl is a fabulous underground drinking den – decked out in overstuffed vintage furniture in intimate nooks, and adorned with antique wood, stripped bricks and mementoes of glorious past epochs like the silent-film era. Foams, aromas, unlikely garnishes and bespoke glassware give cocktails old and new an air of discovery, while subdued lighting and conversation add to the mysterious air.

It's all seated, across a variety of rooms and alcoves, and booking several days ahead is recommended – aim for Wednesday if you like live jazz.
