Connaught Bar

The West End

Drinkers who know their stuff single out the travelling martini trolley for particular praise, but almost everything mixed at the silver-and-platinum-toned bar at his iconic Mayfair hotel, built as The Coburg in 1815, gets the nod. You'll enjoy lavish art-deco design, faultless service, and some of the best drinks in town. Classic and reimagined cocktails range from £12 to £21.

Food, including oysters, caviar, and truffled pasta (mains £28 to £31), is served from 11am to 3.30pm and again in the evening, and dress code is smart casual.
