Sophie’s Steakhouse & Bar

Kensington & Hyde Park

A paradise for carnivores, Sophie's restaurant (there’s also a branch in Soho) serves up some seriously gourmet meat dishes. You can’t go wrong with the steaks, but the black Angus burger, minced with chilli, onion, garlic and capers, is particularly recommended. If you find yourself here on a Sunday, the thick cut prime rib roast might not be cheap (£30), but boy it’s good.
