Bar Boulud

Kensington & Hyde Park

Combining French gastronomy with American influences must have raised a few chef's eyebrows in Daniel Boulud's native France, but diners vote with their forks, relishing both moules à la crème or the 'Yankee' burger. The drinks list is just as transatlantic with a spectacular cellar (the wine list is 27 pages long) and equally great cocktails (£13.50).

For pointers, the white cosmopolitan (with vodka, elderflower liqueur, white grape juice and lime) is to die for. The set lunch is available daily between noon and 6.30pm.
