Prithvi

Oxford & the Cotswolds

Prithvi's top-notch service and minimal monochrome style perfectly match its elegant, immaculate modern cuisine. While rooted in Indian traditions – venison haleem with split peas, say – the menu extends to include the likes of prawn and Devonshire crab ceviche or halibut with five spice, coconut and tempura aubergine. Each mouth-watering offering is presented with great attention to detail. Reservations recommended.

A good-value set menu (two-/three-courses £21/25) is available at lunch on Thursday and Saturday, and 6pm to 6.45pm Tuesday and Wednesday.
