At the top of the old High St among antique shops and health-food stores, this ancient old boozer has been reincarnated as a gourmet gastropub focusing on nose-to-tail dining, locally sourced wherever possible. It's proved a great success, with a bevy of foodie awards and cracking views across the water to Flushing. The menu is meat-heavy, so veggies might struggle.
