Jerichos

The Lake District

Extremely handy for Windermere Town, and with the added benefit of off-road parking, this friendly B&B is run by ex-restaurateur Chris Blaydes. Rooms are smart and characterful, with bold wallpaper patterns, fluffy cushions and grey-and-gold colour combos, although cheaper ones are small and squeezed into awkward spaces. Several have bay windows, but no views to speak of.
