Tabla Luna

Cairo

If you need a hiatus from hummus, this tiny bistro in the heart of Maadi is a solid pick. Tabla Luna is one of the few Latin American restaurants well established in Egypt, and its menu, written on a big blackboard, has crowd-pleasing choices like steak for two, which comes with traditional Peruvian sauce made with chimichurri herbs and spicy cheese.

There are additional branches in Giza and Zamalek. Take a cab from Helwan metro station.
