On a central street with several sleeping and eating choices, the Plaza Hotel has rooms arrayed motel-style around a central courtyard. It's worth the upgrade to the superior category, with comfortable furnishings and loads of space, but all are clean and well-kept. There's a gym, and the breakfast is worthwhile. The building was once a feared Indonesian army interrogation centre. Rates include airport transfers.
