Two whitewashed, modernist homes on a hill just outside town have been transformed into a comfortable and intimate B&B, both a quiet refuge and a base for exploring the area. The owners Saskia and Mark – and their three dogs – provide personable and attentive service, even shuttling every guest into town for a private tour.
Many guests, however, choose to spend much of their time lounging around one of two courtyard pool areas or in the upstairs lounge, which has a telescope, a treadmill, a Wii game system and a 'library' of DVDs, books and boardgames. Breakfast and lunch are for guests only, and the best dinner in town is available here Wednesday through Sunday to nonguests who make reservations.
