La Mata Rosada

Península de Samaná

Malecón mainstay La Mata Rosada has an extensive menu of seafood and grills. The sophisticated front patio with white tablecloths is the town’s most formal, but that doesn’t mean it’s immune to motoconcho (motorcycle taxi) exhaust. The small bar is one of the classier ones in town. Vegans can go for the excellent white-bean salad by axing the bacon.
