Tucked discreetly away, this lush ecotourism project is the spot to live out your dream of sleeping in a stilted cabin in the jungle. The standard tree houses are open on three sides and feature queen beds and hammock chairs – all with a dose of privacy and dramatic tropical-forest views. Three larger VIP cabins have outdoor hot-water showers and attached bathrooms.
Guests mingle over drinks and meals in the bar and lounge – like the tree houses, all constructed from 98% organic material and calling on a twisted climbing-root support system known as bejuco to help hold it all together – before heading down for a bit of rum in one of the property firepits.
