Aire y Mar

Península de Samaná

Rooms are bare bones, but clean, at this six-room hilltop hotel and there's a nice communal kitchen. The real highlight, though – and the reward for climbing the street from the malecón (waterfront path) and then a steep staircase – is the view from the hammock-strewn patio. The good-soul owner, Noelia, looks after guests with motherly care.
