The rather anomalous facade of this large brick building, converted by its gregarious owner into a cavernous hostel, resembles a suburbanite's version of a castle replete with a turret. It's a conventional-looking space inside with concrete floors, spare and secondhand furnishings, a common room with a pool table and a mix of dorm and private rooms.
Wall murals add a dash of color, there's a large pool out back and a bar operates during busy winter months. Surfing and kitesurfing packages are offered. The hostel is located 950m from the Pro Cab development gate and a motoconcho (motorcycle taxi) to town/Kite Beach/Playa Encuentro costs RD$35/50/100.
