Secret Bay

Top choice in Dominica

Dominica's most exclusive hotel is the aptly named Secret Bay, ensconced in jungle on a rocky outcrop between two lovely, tranquil sandy bays, both of which can only be accessed through the property. There are just six lavish villas here (though a further 28 are planned) and each is delightfully furnished and has its own plunge pool.

The entire place exudes thoughtful luxury, with its superb Zing Zing restaurant, which caters for hotel guests only and prepares bespoke locally sourced meals that reinterpret pre-colonial Dominican cuisine for the palate of the international traveler. The Gommier spa pampers the guests, and water sports are laid on at the beach. For true seclusion you can take a boat trip around the outcrop and settle into the hotel's second beach, where you're guaranteed to be totally alone.
