Picard Beach Cottages

Dominica

In a garden setting on an old coconut plantation right by a narrow black-sand beach, this cluster of 18 wooden cottages set amid lovely gardens offers atmospheric accommodations with basic kitchens, dark-wood furnishings and mosquito nets. Each unit has its own private porch, and offers one of the few chances in the entire country to be right on the beach.

Reception also runs the next door PBH hotel, which is far less charming and atmospheric; be sure you're getting a room at Picard Beach Cottages.
