Rungstedgaard

Zealand

Next door to the Karen Blixen Museet, this large conference-centre hotel sits on extensive sea-facing lawns and is built around the former house of Karen Blixen's paternal aunt, though the only obviously historical sections are the sweeping stairways beside the bar. Rooms are modern business affairs with low window desks, kettles and functional en-suite bathrooms.

Guests can help themselves to bottles of mineral water, use the numerous coffee machines dotted about the corridors, and have free use of the bicycles.
