This charming mixture of old beams, yellow-brick floors and big low-wattage ball lights offers lunchtime smørrebrød (open sandwich) dishes that are works of art. But it's best known for fixed-menu dinners that give you nine small dishes presented in three trios, all offering seasonal flavours garnished with love.

The historic building is currently rather easy to miss on a quaint courtyard accessed off the pedestrian lane that links the east and west sections of this split city. However, by late 2018 expansion plans should see it extended onto Nørregade.
