Complete with sawdust floors, this charming basement cheese shop is the city's oldest, dating from 1888. Although its long-time owners Vivvi and Hesluf retired in 2017, the tradition continues and the place remains a top spot to pick up well-priced, interesting Danish cheeses like Samsø, a cow's-milk variety with Swiss-cheese-like consistency and a nutty, pungent flavour.
The shop focuses on smaller dairies and also stocks sild (herring), quince jam and other condiments.
