Democratic Coffee

Copenhagen

Democratic Coffee is not your typical library coffee shop, and it's not just for students: it's popular with locals and tourists alike. The long wooden coffee bar offers espresso as well as V60-brewed coffee, and the freshly baked croissants (20kr) have been called the best in the city, especially the popular almond variety. (Watch your clothes: the filling is rich and runny.)

The counter running along the large front windows is perfect for people-watching.
