Popular with business travellers, this small luxury hotel with 27 rooms, including several suites, is set in a grand 19th-century apartment building. Stylish decor and attentive service are accompanied by thoughtful touches such as bathrobes. The rooms are decorated in restful, neutral tones (lots of cream and light wood).

The building dates from 1889 and has been restored to its former grandeur. Service can’t be faulted, and the staff are courteous and very helpful. Rates are sometimes discounted on its website.
