Le Palais Hotel

Top choice in Prague

Le Palais is housed in a gorgeous belle-époque building dating from the end of the 19th century that was once home to Czech artist Luděk Marold (1865–98) – his former apartment is now rooms 407 to 412. It has been beautifully restored, complete with original floor mosaics, period fireplaces, marble staircases, wrought-iron balustrades, frescoes, painted ceilings and delicate stucco work.

The luxury bedrooms are decorated in warm shades of yellow and pink, while the various suites – some located in the corner tower, some with a south-facing balcony – make the most of the hotel’s superb location, perched on top of a bluff with views of the Vyšehrad fortress. In easy walking distance of bars and restaurants in Vinohrady and about 15 minutes by foot from the top of Wenceslas Square.
