Novelist Bohumil Hrabal’s favourite tavern, the ‘Golden Tiger’ is one of the few Old Town drinking holes that has hung onto its soul – and its reasonable prices (48Kč per 450mL of Pilsner Urquell) – considering its location close to Old Town Square in a 14th-century townhouse. It's one of Prague's original pubs, but attracts few tourists.
This is the place to which Václav Havel took Bill Clinton in 1994 to show him a real Czech pub.
