Always one of Varadero’s more salubrious offerings, this attractive low-rise resort at the end of the peninsula has recently changed brands from Spanish-run Blau to Mexican-run Fiesta Americana. Owners aside, the beach is close by and the facilities seem to have an extra gloss here, from the light fittings to the fountains.
Grounds include a small stream, a lighthouse tower, a fancy theater, a hairdresser and a specialist coffee bar.
The attached Fiesta Club is a small adults-only enclave located on a tiny key just off the end of the peninsula and attached by a sandy isthmus (and bridge). It costs an additional CUC$20 per person.
