The nearest conventional hotel to the city center is a dose of Soviet-inspired '70s nostalgia. Its dour reputation is partially offset by edgy art by local artists. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, and there's an information office, Cadeca (money exchange) and internet cafe. However, the hotel suffers from the usual foibles of interminable renovations and blaring late-night music.
