El Figaro

Habana Vieja

This aptly named restaurant in Habana Vieja’s ‘barber’s alley’ is run by the grandson of the former chef to Meyer Lansky. He’s revitalized the notorious mobster’s favorite dish, lobster sautéed in coffee and cognac, and promises (with typical Cuban humor) to provide ‘food without hairs in it.’

Old banknotes flutter like Tibetan prayer flags from the rafters inside the building, but for the best seats flop down at a table outside in traffic-free Calle Aguiar.
