Carabalí Izuama

Features comparsa (carnival music and dance groups) who represent the Los Hoyos neighborhood in Santiago’s July carnival. The group is a descendant of a 19th-century cabildo or mutual aid society formed along ethnic lines, a factor still reflected in its music.
