Sitio La Güira

Cayo Coco

Backpackers aren't well catered for on Cuba's resort islands, except perhaps at this imitation of an erstwhile charcoal-burner's camp. Four pseudo-rustic bohíos (thatched huts) with private bathrooms and air-con (to dissuade the mosquitoes, which are no joke) are available for rent. A ranchón-style restaurant and bar are on-site. Best for those with their own wheels, as it's fairly isolated.
