A hop-skip-jump from the train station, Palmers Lodge is looking fresh and cheerful after a paint job. Dorms are cramped but bright and clean; six-bed dorms have private bathrooms. There's also simply furnished private doubles and studio apartments. Tram noise is an issue but the welcoming staff give out free earplugs to help you get a good night's sleep.
