This art deco masterpiece was purpose-built to welcome the Orient Express crowd in 1925 and still holds on to many original features, from its grand marble staircase and intricate stained-glass windows to the glorious Emerald Ballroom. Rooms exude timeless elegance – as you'd expect for a place that has a roll call of kings and politicians on its past guest list.
The ground floor is home to the popular Esplanade Bar with a sun-drenched terrace overlooking Starčevićev Trg, plus two excellent restaurants, Zinfandel’s and Le Bistro.
