Konoba Mate

Korčula Island

Our favourite place to eat on the entire island has the unlikely setting of the sleepy farming village of Pupnat, 11km west of Korčula Town. The menu is short but universally tempting, offering unusual twists on true-blue traditions, including kid goat cooked under a peka. The antipasto platter is sublime. And mate, the name's pronounced ma-teh.
