Casona de Laly

San José

All four branches of this Escazú staple have the same delicious Costa Rican menu that everybody has always showed up for, including hearty casados, grilled meats and luscious seafood soup. There's a multicolored light-up sign outside, along with a small parking lot, a bunch of flat-screens and a small bar in the corner.

The other three Lalys are in neighboring suburbs, but this original location remains the favorite.
