Pablito's

Playa Sámara

One of the last Tico bars left, Pablito and family have a simple outdoor space, a bit of music and the occasional barnyard animal wandering through. Nice cheap breakfasts and inexpensive beers. Bonus: with each beer you get a boca from Mama Carmen, which could be a bowl of stew or some meat, along with Pablito's tongue-lashing chili sauce.

At the far north end of the beach, look for the camping signs if coming from the main road.
