On a private reserve that abuts the Bosque Eterno de Los Niños, this place includes an organic farm and fishing ponds (catch and cook!). Explore on hiking trails or on horseback. The rooms are quality, and the stylish, spacious bungalows are gorgeous. Two come with private porches and Jacuzzis. New hot-springs and pozos (swimming holes) installed in 2019.
To get here, drive 11km south of La Fortuna. On the southern side of Chachagua, fork right off the main road and follow the signs on a 2km dirt track (may require a 4WD in the rainy season).
