Belly up to the cafeteria-style counter at this friendly family spot and cobble together a plate of coconut rice, red beans and whatever Caribbean meat and veggies are cooking. Miss Roena Brown's oxtail stew is simply to die for, washed down with a glass of sorrel (Jamaican hibiscus-ginger drink). The chewy cassava pudding ain't bad, either.
If you cook for the president, your food must be damned good. Check the pictures of Roena with former Costa Rican head of state Laura Chinchilla.
