La Bona Vida is so good that it had to add a second branch in 2017, only a year after opening the first. Behind the turquoise colonial facade lies a diminutive, well-laid-out interior sporting dorms (with curtained bunks and personal fans) and private doubles (with air-con and – drumroll – Netflix!).
But this place is about the little details: freebies at half-a-dozen local restaurants, straight-off-the-hot-plate breakfasts, dinner on demand, and super-quick laundry service. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys. Best hostel on Colombia’s Caribbean coast? Possibly.
