Hostería del Molino La Mesopotamia

Villa de Leyva

Built in 1568, this old flour mill is four years older than Villa itself and one of the most beautiful buildings in town. It has not gone without complaints from travelers, mainly about dampness in some rooms, but if you're prepared to trade a little comfort for atmosphere and tranquility it's a fine choice. You can sleep with history here.

Go for a room in the original house for classic colonial architecture, period furnishings and artwork. In addition to peaceful gardens it has an enchanting natural swimming pool fed by crystal-clear spring waters and surrounded by forest. Visitors can take a swim for COP$12,000.
