Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez

Barranquilla

Barranquilla's impressive soccer stadium was built for Colombia's unsuccessful bid to host the 1986 FIFA World Cup. It is here, not in Bogotá, that the Colombian national team play their home games. It's also home to two professional domestic-league teams: Atlético Junior, who play in the top league, and Barranquilla FC, who play in the second tier.
