Longquan Temple

Shanxi

Several kilometres to the southwest of the village, Dragon Spring Temple was raised in the Song dynasty and restored in the Ming era; most of the wooden structures were rebuilt in the early days of the Republic. The highlights here are the stone structures and carvings, such as the memorial arch and the spirit wall separating the 108 steps you need to scale to enter the temple. They look stunning in white with intricate carvings.
